Job Overview
The Senior Manager, (BD Excellence) Commercial Specimen Management will partner with commercial leaders across the BD Specimen Management Business Unit and regions to ensure the successful implementation of a best-in-class commercial ecosystem and operating model. You will work collaboratively with various departments to deploy commercial operating models and processes that align with Specimen Management's strategic objectives, driving a continuous improvement culture across the commercial teams. Key Responsibilities
Partner with Specimen Management Platform and Marketing Teams to implement and deploy process excellence in commercial execution and omnichannel customer engagement. Provide training and ongoing support to ensure successful adoption of new commercial excellence tools and establish certified practitioners in Specimen Management. Track performance, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and implement changes to enhance the operating model. Maintain detailed documentation of commercial excellence tools and changes made. Support the Specimen Management platforms and commercial teams in solving mission-critical problems, utilizing problem-solving and kaizen methodology. Serve as a thought partner in commercial excellence tools, supporting the adoption and deployment of BD Excellence tools and mindset across departments and regions. Drive BD Excellence education by providing coaching and trainings, supporting the development and roll-out of BD Excellence Advanced Practitioner and Certified Practitioner programs. Willingness to travel 25%-50% domestically and internationally as required Education
Bachelor39;s degree required with a focus in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred. MBA degree is preferred. Certification as a trainer or facilitator and certified practitioner in lean tools is highly preferred Experience
4+ years of commercial experience with a proven track record of driving processes to achieve results required, ideally with experience as a sales representative or sales leader in a regulatory environment within Healthcare, Med Tech, Pharma, or Life Sciences 3+ years proven experience with the core tools of visual management, problem solving, and kaizen at a company focused on continuous improvement required Experience with demand forecasting is preferred Extensive experience with Salesforce.com (funnel management, dashboards) and Marketing automation tools (Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot) required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using tools such as MS Excel, Power BI, Einstein to visualize sales data required. SAP knowledge preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate a complex, matrix organization, effectively convey new concepts, tools and strategies, and tailor communications according to the audience is required. Capacity to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty, consistently demonstrating a growth mindset and resilience in the face of obstacles is required. Demonstrated success in driving business impact through continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives, particularly in commercial organizations and in a fast-changing environment is required.
