The Sr. Development Director/ Major Gifts Officer is responsible, in partnership with their assigned AVP/ Chief Development Officer, for overseeing the development, design, and execution of all aspects of a comprehensive and on-going philanthropy program with an emphasis on major gifts. The Foundation is engaged in a $600M campaign, which will require the ability to achieve significant personal and team dollar goals. The position is responsible for designing, implementing and sustaining a successful fund-raising program, including individual and major gifts, planned giving, endowments, donor upgrading, corporate and foundation gifts, special event sponsorships and enhancing community awareness of the Foundation with specific emphasis on assigned hospitals and/or Institutes. Responsibilities
Solicit donations and cultivate relationships with donors in order to develop, secure, upgrade and maintain major and principal gifts for the present and long term financial support of the system. Carry a personal goal of $2M - $4M and a Team goal of $2M - $5M on average. Manage a personal portfolio of 144 active prospects with a total of 352 active and in stewardship. Qualifications
Degree:
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in a successful foundation major gifts program, fund-raising or marketing/sales leadership. Skills:
Experience in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and providing stewardship for major gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations. Management:
Proven manager of fundraising teams and experience in managing major components of effective development programs. EOE, including disability/vets
