The company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Senior Embedded Electrical Engineer
to lead the design, development, and implementation of embedded systems for cutting-edge products. This role requires deep expertise in embedded hardware, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. This is a full-time on-site position. Occasional travel outside the Boston/San Diego Metro area may be required. Responsibilities
Design and develop embedded systems including hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and firmware. Lead architecture decisions for embedded platforms and ensure scalability and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and systems engineers. Conduct design reviews, testing, and validation of embedded systems. Optimize power consumption, performance, and cost of embedded solutions. Troubleshoot and debug hardware and firmware issues. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership within the team. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in embedded systems design and development. Experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, STM32, PIC, etc.) Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design. Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle). Familiarity with communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet). Experience with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in designing and testing for EMC. Experience with wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cell, Zigbee). Knowledge of safety-critical systems and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, IEC). Familiarity with FPGA design and VHDL/Verilog. Experience in product lifecycle from concept to production. Benefits
The company offers a range of benefits, including flexible time off, retirement savings, health coverage, and family support. The pay range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 USD per year.
