Position Overview

The Director of Fulfillment Center (FC) Operations

will oversee the efficient and cost-effective operation of fulfillment center(s) critical to Duluth Trading's success. This Director is responsible for ensuring SLAs are met, budgets are adhered to, and a culture of continuous improvement is fostered. This role strategically drives supply chain operations' speed, efficiency, and cost control. What You’ll Do Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our Adairsville, GA, fulfillment center, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. Manage a team of FC managers, supervisors, and associates, providing leadership, guidance, and support to achieve operational goals. Ensure all FC operations comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Fiscal Management: Manage labor planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure optimal staffing levels and cost control.

Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to optimize FC processes, layouts, and resource allocation to maximize throughput and minimize costs.

Technology and Systems Implementation: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of warehouse management systems and other technologies to support efficient operations.

Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing supply chain team. Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Ensure clear communication and collaboration within the supply chain team and with cross-functional departments.

Key Projects & Deliverables

Develop and execute a strategic plan for optimizing FC operations, including process improvements, automation, and resource allocation

Implement labor management systems and processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs

Lead the design and execution of FC layout changes to improve flow, capacity, and efficiency

Develop and implement a comprehensive training and development program for FC associates and leaders

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track FC performance and identify areas for improvement

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related area of study – Equivalent work experience will be considered

10+ years of experience

5+ years of management experience

Advanced experience in fulfillment center or distribution center operations management

Experience managing AutoStore automated storage and retrieval system strongly preferred

Proven track record of driving operational excellence, process improvement, and cost optimization

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making

Deep knowledge of warehouse management systems, automation, and other FC technologies

Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification preferred

Travel is required for 20% of company-related meetings, programs, and/or events

Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Position Compensation Outline Compensation Range: $120,000 - $175,000/year

This position is eligible to participate in the company bonus and long term incentive programs upon hire.
