Responsibilities include:
Works with assigned MLO to provide excellent client service by supporting with documentation gathering, application issues, and meeting established metrics for turnaround on mortgage loans. May work with a Senior Mortgage Specialist on more complex loans. Prepares and provides accurate RESPA and Reg B disclosures (as required) to clients. Assumes control of files submitted by MLO for processing. Corresponds and communicates with clients to: • Obtain required documentation • Answer client questions • Explain loan process and/or program questions Keeps MLO abreast of all client and file issues. Performs timely analysis/review of information supplied by applicants and/or outside sources. Maintains confidentiality of information. Assembles loan files for underwriting by: • Ordering appraisals as required per loan type and communicating with AMC to ensure timely delivery • Ordering title reports as required per loan type and communicating with Title Company to ensure timely delivery • Ordering flood certificates • Obtaining written and verbal verifications • Ordering credit reports and supplements • Monitoring completeness/status/delivery of underwriting and regulatory conditions • Accurate paperless filing of documents and conditions Submits accurate and complete loan files to underwriting. Updates loan status in LOS, CRM, and/or pipeline report as necessary. Resolves post-closing and trailing document issues. Prepares files for scanning.
Other Qualifications:
• 2-6 years of experience in mortgage loan processing and TRID document preparation. • 2+ recent years of processing FHA, RD and VA loan files. • Broad knowledge of lending regulations. • Broad knowledge of Agency, Government, and Portfolio lending guidelines and requirements. • Broad knowledge of loan department operations, policies and procedures. • Basic to intermediate knowledge of multiple computer applications, specifically word processing, spreadsheet and database management software. • Ability to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy. • Proven ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner.
