Job Description We have an opening for a

Strategic Communications Analyst

to join our team in

Washington, DC (Navy Yard) .

Responsibilities :

Design and implement innovative communications strategies for NAVSEA initiatives and programs.

Write and edit news copy and long-form content (feature articles, stories, etc.) in accordance with the Navy and Associated Press Style Book.

Synthesize complex ideas and initiatives into clear, concise communications tailored for a variety of audiences.

Develop and produce communication products that effectively convey NAVSEA\'s programs and priorities.

Manage small and large-scale projects that contribute to a larger strategic communications plan.

Balance competing priorities under strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Collaborate with NAVSEA\'s senior leaders and work effectively in a high-profile, demanding office environment.

Job Requirements Basic Qualifications:

Active

Secret

Clearance

10+ years of experience in defense acquisition or other federal appropriation / authorization matters.

Bachelor\'s of Arts/Science degree in English, Communications, or related field.

Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to produce properly edited products that clearly and logically convey complex information and ideas.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences and adjust messaging accordingly.

Thorough analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to think strategically, identify needs and requirements, and develop recommendations and solutions.

Familiarity with NAVSEA, Congress, the Navy, and the Department of Defense (DoD)

Salary information below is a general guide only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as business and market considerations.

Salary Range:$80,000 - $120,000

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs) 10 years\' civilian or military experience writing as depicted in applicant\'s portfolio/writing samples.

Travel 10 - 20%
