Support San Diego County education initiatives to increase submission rates for FAFSA and CADAA. Work under the guidance of the Education and Training Manager and Career Development Coordinator; collaborate with Education and Training colleagues and school personnel. Identify opportunity youth and graduating high school seniors, with emphasis on schools where IRC Youth Department provides services. Provide educational workshops and 1:1 support to refugee and immigrant youth to increase awareness and submission of FAFSA or CADAA applications; assist with post-secondary institution applications, enrollment, and navigation. Assess eligibility and readiness for the program; create career development plans; schedule and implement career development activities; prepare job applications and support job placements. Offer resume support, interview practice, and guidance on job search techniques; provide mentorship on career advancement. Deliver individualized and group coaching on advanced work readiness and employability skills. Help clients identify, enroll, and complete vocational training, certificates, apprenticeships, paid/unpaid work experiences, and licensure or recertification; stay updated on financial aid policies for diverse citizenship statuses. Maintain student data (eligibility, attendance, FAFSA/CADAA completion) in IRC databases; follow program policies and report progress; support other youth programming as needed. Coordinate with tutoring services and other IRC programs based on individual needs; contribute to Refugee Student Scholarship program development. Attend Education and Training department meetings; provide training and supervision to department volunteers as required; perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education: Undergraduate degree required; degree in education or social services preferred. Work Experience: Experience with youth (school setting preferred); experience with refugees/immigrants required; familiarity with FAFSA/CADAA processes; case management or coaching experience preferred; nonprofit or international experience a plus; familiarity with online platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom, Drive) a plus. Demonstrated Skills & Competencies: Strong written and verbal communication; proficiency in English and a refugee/immigrant language (e.g., Spanish, Farsi/Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Swahili) required; ability to work independently; adaptability under deadlines and multiple priorities; comfort in a fast-paced, multicultural environment; strong digital literacy (MS Office, databases). Working Environment

Standard office environment with hybrid remote work within San Diego County; occasional in-person days and field time; environment may change with organizational needs. Occasional weekend and/or evening work; office hours typically Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm. Access to a reliable vehicle for travel within the service delivery area; valid driver’s license and current insurance required. Compensation & Benefits
