$41,525.00/yr - $47,625.00/yr Description of Duties
Teach fifteen (15) credit hours per semester in the area of Accounting. Maintain a minimum of twenty-seven and one-half (27.5) total teaching, student office hours, division service hours, and college service hours per week. Perform College committee and Division committee assignments as assigned by the Dean, Business and Information Technology Division. Assume responsibilities for program/curriculum development, student advisement, and assist in both the writing of and the administration of any grants awarded in the area of Accounting at the request of the Dean. Perform other duties as assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Class/curriculum preparation for all classes assigned and taught. Regular attendance. Grading and the reporting of all grading in a timely manner. Maintenance of the CANVAS platform for each class and class section taught. Availability to students. Perform other duties as assigned. Regular attendance in Division and College committee meetings. Involvement in/with the dean and/or program director in textbook selection. Involvement in/with the dean and/or program director in any accompanying software selection. Involvement in/with the dean/associate dean, academic advisor, and/or program director in developing class schedules within the appropriate discipline and/or division. Minimum Qualifications:
Master\'s Degree with eighteen (18) graduate hours in Accounting or Bachelor\'s Degree with C.P.A. certification valid in Oklahoma. Minimum of two (2) years prior college teaching experience. Knowledge of flexible delivery methods to accommodate individual learning styles. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Extensive knowledge of Accounting guidelines, standards, and practices. Light lifting up to 10 lbs. and light carrying up to 10 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending and stooping. Desired Qualifications:
Additional graduate work in Accounting or Doctorate and C.P.A. certification. Experience teaching college level Accounting. Experience teaching in both online and campus-based environments. Demonstrated ability to teach upper level accounting courses to include: Intermediate Accounting I, Intermediate Accounting II, Cost Accounting, Income Tax, and Computer Accounting.
