Flight Attendant (Italian Speakers Only)
Base pay range
$28.88/hr - $67.11/hr
Starting hourly flight pay of $28.88/hour with top of base scale at $67.11/hour. Seniority-based pay increases and additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international trips.

Onboarding and Training: 6.5 weeks of Initial Training in Houston, TX with base assignment after training. During training, a stipend and accommodations are provided.
What You Can Expect During Onboarding And Training
Flight attendant trainees must successfully complete an evacuation drill in the water (pool) during training.
Must be willing to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
Must pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens. Medical and recreational marijuana is prohibited due to safety-sensitive nature of the position.
Must pass a 10-year background check. Background must not prohibit travel to or from United destinations.
Must meet hearing and vision requirements as established by FAA and United Airlines.
Qualifications
21 years of age or older at time of application
High school graduate or GED; 2+ years of college preferred
At least one year of customer service experience in a service industry
Must be able to speak clearly and be heard in an emergency
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
Must be able to read and speak Italian fluently
Ability to hear all types of sounds
Ability to handle high-stress situations and communicate effectively
Professional appearance and willingness to follow uniform guidelines
Ability to proficiently operate electronic devices
Must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months remaining
Ability to travel to all countries United serves without restrictions
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 250 lbs, and perform required tasks
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and willing to work a flexible 24/7 schedule
