Part time Lecturer - School of Business (Miami) and related adjunct positions available. This section consolidates current job details and expectations. Responsibilities
Clinical Teaching & Preceptorship : Provide direct supervision and mentorship to nurse practitioner students during assigned clinical shifts. Role-model evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and professional behavior. Facilitate student learning experiences by progressively increasing responsibility based on competency and readiness. Offer constructive feedback on clinical performance, communication, and professional development. Academic & Faculty Responsibilities : Conduct midterm and final evaluations of student performance, incorporating feedback from clinical experiences. Approve and verify student clinical hours to ensure compliance with program and accreditation requirements. Perform at least one site visit per student per semester to evaluate performance, patient interactions, and clinical integration. Document evaluations, site visits, and clinical progress in accordance with program guidelines. Communicate with program leadership regarding student progress, concerns, or remediation needs. Collaboration & Communication : Collaborate with program faculty to align clinical learning experiences with course objectives and AACN Essentials. Serve as the liaison between the clinical site and the academic program. Engage in joint evaluation processes, ensuring both preceptor observations and faculty assessments are reflected in the student’s record. Participate in orientation, training, and calibration sessions for clinical teaching and evaluation as required by the program. Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP, or PhD required). Active and unencumbered APRN license in the state of practice. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in specialty area (AGACNP). Minimum of 2–3 years of recent clinical experience as a nurse practitioner. Previous teaching, precepting, or academic experience strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentorship skills. Commitment to supporting student learning, diversity, and professional growth. Expectations & Time Commitment
Availability to supervise students during scheduled clinical shifts. Completion of timely documentation of student evaluations and clinical hours.
