The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking surgeons (orthopedic or soft tissue) for the Small Animal Surgery service. Positions may be full or part-time, tenure or clinical track, at any level (assistant, associate, or full professor). The department offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facilities, including a new 3T MRI, a 264-slice CT (to be installed end of 2022), cone beam CT, intraoperative fluoroscopy, arthroscopy with a nanoscope, multidirectional thoracoscopy and laparoscopy tables, and cardiopulmonary bypass equipment. There are strong collaborative ties within research and clinical settings, and with the Medical School, facilitating human-animal procedure adaptation and research collaborations. Primary duties include teaching students, interns, and residents; participating in clinical research; providing surgical consultations; and engaging in ongoing clinical trials.
