The IMS Artificial Intelligence team is seeking an experienced AI/ML lead with a strong background in application development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI. This position will focus on supporting and advancing the Segment’s AI/ML frameworks, with an emphasis on strategy, design, development, and seamless adoption of AI solutions across the segment. Essential Functions:

Strategic AI/ML Solution Development: Champion the AI integration strategy to support reliable and informed decision-making across the enterprise. Oversee the design, build, and maintenance of robust AI/ML solutions that align with business goals. Expertise in AI Solution Development: Extensive experience in developing AI solutions across various business domains, including computer vision, task optimization, data analytics, and natural language processing models. Proficiency in the full life cycle of AI development, including software stacks and infrastructure necessary to realize strategic AI vision. Model and Data Optimization: Guide the creation, updating, and optimization of AI models, datasets, and data transformations to meet evolving business needs. Ensure the consistent and accurate flow of data from source systems to AI solutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold security standards and ensure the integrity of AI data inputs and outputs. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to align AI initiatives with overarching business strategies. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field and 12+ years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree and 10+ years of experience. Proven hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML models across multiple domains (e.g., computer vision, NLP, task optimization, data analytics). Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and tools. Experience with the full AI lifecycle: data preparation, model design/training, validation, deployment, and monitoring. Demonstrated ability to translate business or mission requirements into AI/ML solutions that deliver measurable outcomes. Strong understanding of data pipelines, optimization, and infrastructure for AI/ML, including cloud or on-premises environments. Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams and present technical content to non-technical stakeholders. U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Preferred Additional Skills

Experience applying AI/ML in aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical environments, including edge AI or constrained computing. Familiarity with generative AI and large language models (LLMs), including prompt engineering and RAG pipelines. Experience integrating AI into enterprise workflows or business operations to improve efficiency and decision-making. Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar frameworks for model deployment and lifecycle management. Exposure to compliance frameworks and ATO processes for deploying AI in secure or classified environments. Track record of patents, publications, or conference presentations in AI/ML or related fields. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers or scientists in AI/ML best practices. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $135,000 - $288,000.
