Front of House Manager
to oversee multi-station café operations at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and develop front-of-house team members across multiple café stations. Ensure seamless guest service with a focus on speed, hospitality, and professionalism. Manage daily operations including staffing, scheduling, inventory, and quality control. Partner with culinary leadership to maintain consistency in menu execution and presentation. Oversee point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures. Support café-based catering and special events as needed. Foster a positive, collaborative work culture that emphasizes service excellence. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in front-of-house management, ideally in a café, food hall, or multi-station setting. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Proven ability to manage scheduling, inventory, and budgets. Passion for hospitality with a hands-on management style. Knowledge of food safety and compliance standards. Proficiency in POS and basic computer systems.
