Description of Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Coordinator at the Capital Region Airport Commission is a critical hands-on position requiring outstanding organizational skills. The position requires confidentiality and professionalism. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, the ability to work independently and prioritize work, and takes a proactive approach to anticipate human resource needs. Attention to detail, team-player attitude, and strong customer service orientation are key to the success of the position. The individual will be responsible for assisting with policies and programs for all human resource functions including, but not limited to benefits, recruitment, new hire on-boarding and orientation, worker's compensation, compliance and general administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages recruiting process for positions including job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, generating offer letters, pre-employment paperwork, and initiating on-boarding processes. Work with hiring managers to qualify position and develop recruiting plans. Coordinates orientation and onboarding activities for new hires. Administer and monitor E-Verify and I-9 compliance, maintaining accurate records and conducting periodic audits. Enters, updates, and maintains data into the HRIS system. Assists in researching, compiling, and analyzing human resources data. Participates in special projects such as event planning, job fairs, employee luncheons, etc. Responsible for maintaining and verifying all background and employment related checks. Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field or have an equivalent combination of education and experience in a human resource environment. HRIS experience in ADP Workforce Now 1-2 years of human resources experience Required Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees and management. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Self-starter with a proven record of managing priorities and delivering results under pressure. Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures. Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software.
