Research Scientist I, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Research Staff
JOB DESCRIPTION: Conducts innovative scientific investigation by developing theories and devising scientific methods and procedures to apply scientific principles, theories and research in projects related to the mission of UTMB. Committed to the discovery of new innovative biomedical and health services knowledge leading to increasingly effective and accessible health care. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard scientific techniques and procedures while using judgment when necessary to adapt standard methods and techniques.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Research Scientists conduct innovative scientific investigation by developing theories and devising scientific methods and procedures to apply scientific principles, theories and research in projects related to the mission of UTMB. Duties include evaluating, selecting and using judgment when necessary to adapt advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Ph. D, M.D, D.O., or D.V.M in related field and no experience required
SALARY Commensurate with experience.
