Overview
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) seeks an Assistant Director, Planned Giving to join the Development & Events Department. The role collaborates closely with the Managing Director, Development and Legacy Giving on the growth and administration of BCRF’s Legacy Giving Program. This position reports to the Managing Director, Development & Legacy Giving and is based in New York, NY with onsite requirements of at least three days per week. Base pay range

The Assistant Director, Planned Giving will work with the Managing Director, Development and Legacy Giving on the growth and administration of BCRF’s Legacy Giving Program, and will collaborate with a team of development professionals to advance planned giving initiatives. Primary Responsibilities
Bequest Administration: manage day-to-day administration of pledged future intentions and realized bequests, including tracking in the donor CRM, data hygiene, reporting, and coordinating with attorneys and executors to fulfill bequests in a timely manner; respond to inquiries about leaving BCRF in estate plans; prepare acknowledgment letters and listings. Marketing and Communications: serve as project manager for collateral, mailings, and digital content; maintain collateral and digital content; manage annual mailings with vendors; ensure website content reflects current planned giving trends and tax laws; manage data for targeted campaigns including list pulling/cleaning and reporting; collaborate to produce 4-8 eblasts per year; liaise with FreeWill to manage partnerships and stewardship. Stewardship and Donor Outreach: coordinate stewardship and solicitation for legacy donors; assign donors to portfolios for cultivation and solicitation; prepare custom donor correspondence and research briefs to secure legacy gifts; manage stewardship for FreeWill donors; collaborate with Major Gifts for blended gift opportunities; ensure Evelyn H. Lauder Legacy Society records are accurate and appropriately acknowledged. Other duties as assigned. About You / Qualifications
You are detail-oriented, proactive, positive, and a team player. You think strategically across planned giving and development; you are adaptable and collaborative and committed to BCRF’s mission. Minimum of 8 years of non-profit development experience with at least 3 years of full-time planned giving experience Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge database Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Adobe, InDesign, Canva and PowerBI preferred Excellent project management and communication skills Experience working with high-level donors and external partners (attorneys, financial planners, trustees, executors, vendors) Meticulous attention to detail with strong proofreading skills Ability to exercise discretion handling confidential matters Travel
May require domestic travel 1-2 times a year. Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, exempt role. The salary range is $100,000 - $115,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, 401(k) with up to 5% match, paid parental leave, vacation, sick time, holidays, and flexible scheduling. To Apply
