Position Overview
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Lead is responsible for creating, implementing, and sustaining programs that ensure compliance with applicable regulations and foster a strong culture of workplace safety. This role is part of the site leadership team and reports to the local site director, with functional alignment to the broader corporate EHS organization.
Core Responsibilities
Oversee all site EHS programs to maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
Promote a positive safety culture through proactive initiatives, training, and employee engagement.
Lead site audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective/preventive action plans.
Manage environmental compliance activities, including waste handling, air quality, and water systems.
Monitor, analyze, and report on EHS performance metrics and regulatory submissions.
Collaborate across departments to integrate EHS requirements into daily operations and projects.
Maintain site-level emergency response and contractor safety management programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Strong working knowledge of occupational safety regulations; familiarity with ISO 14001 is a plus.
Demonstrated success in driving improvements in safety performance and compliance outcomes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
