We are seeking a dynamic HVAC Technical Trainer/Instructor to join our team! Nicholson Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning in Holliston, MA and Gervais Mechanical in Auburn, MA are looking for an HVAC Technical Trainer to oversee both locations. Writes training programs, including outlines, text, handouts, and tests. Offers specific technical training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills. Lectures class on safety, installation, programming, maintenance, machinery, and equipment, following outline, handouts, and texts. Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures. Administers written and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainees' performance. Obtains, organizes, or develops training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials. Conducts course feedback evaluation to determine measurements of training success or areas of improvement. Maintains quality training by establishing and enforcing organization standards of practice and protocol. Monitors, evaluates, or records training activities or program effectiveness and files documentation. Develops alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen. Evaluates training materials used for instruction, such as outlines, texts, or handouts. Evaluates modes of training delivery, such as in-person or virtual to optimize training effectiveness, training costs, or environmental impacts. Keeps current with developments in area of expertise by reading current publications, books, articles, etc. Attends meetings or seminars to obtain information for use in training programs or to inform management of training program status. Monitors training costs and prepares budget reports to justify expenditures. Designs, schedules, and administers meetings, classes, and demonstrations to conduct training. Devises programs to develop maximum potential among employees in lower-level technician positions. Develops or implements training programs related to efficiency, recycling, or other issues with environmental impacts. Provides support on nights and weekends to technicians that are running into technical difficulties and coaches through diagnostics if needed, or discusses what issue could be. Ride-alongs for training. Provides assistance and site visits if needed for customer concerns on technical inquiries after multiple warranty or callbacks. Monitors and records tool Co-Op program. Maintains policies in accordance with our Program. Qualifications
Minimum 7 years Residential HVAC Service experience Minimum 5 years Training & Development experience High school GED or equivalent EPA 608 and Lead Renovator Certification Clean and neat appearance Strong customer service and communication skills Hard-working and motivated Ready to join our team?
