Murray Company is seeking a Safety Manager to ensure the safety of personnel on job sites. The successful candidate will travel within an assigned geographic location to various job sites, plan, implement and supervise project safety in accordance with Federal, State, and local Health and Safety regulations, and Environment (HSE) regulations, site safety and corporate policies. Position Overview The Safety Manager is a critical position that requires a reliable, self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal direction from management. The candidate must have the ability to travel in a company-provided vehicle to job sites within the designated region. Location:
South Bay: San Leandro, San Jose, Santa Clara Duties And Responsibilities Oversee critical work plan activities to ensure compliance with approved work plans Perform jobsite inspections and review safety-related paperwork Ensure field operations are in compliance with Current OSHA regulations, Murray Company Policies, and Owners or General Contractor’s rules as specified by contract Assist with training as needed for projects and ensure all employees on site have required training Assist with accident, incident, and near-miss investigations and develop safety alerts Ensure proper management of work-related injuries and care for injured employees Develop and implement procedures to eliminate hazards and situations discovered through lessons learned and investigations Assist the Safety Department and project team as needed for specific safety-related items Salary Range:
$84,800 - $155,500 per year Required Skills and Abilities: 5+ years of experience overseeing safety across multiple job sites Construction Safety industry experience Knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations Required Education, Certification, and Training: OSHA 500 certification CPR certification Preferred: STSC (Safety Trained Safety Certified) CPR Training Certification Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times Must have sufficient visual acuity to read printed and digital documents Must be able to climb ladders, access and egress trenches and/or attic spaces and/or confined spaces Requires hearing ability to communicate in noisy environments Must be able to recognize alarms, signals, and verbal instructions Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed Murray Company is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
