Location: Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD), Harry S. Truman State Office Building, 301 W High Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101
Overview This position will supervise the Office of Cyber Security Infrastructure team. It involves testing, managing and deploying various cyber security infrastructure tools both on-prem and in the cloud. Tools include but are not limited to firewalls, application firewalls, load balancers, intrusion prevention systems, SIEM tools, network spanning tools, network access controls, data loss prevention, asset discovery and more.
Responsibilities
Track projects of the cyber security infrastructure team.
Ensure that best practices are being followed.
Provide security guidance to customers.
Manage employee timesheets.
Complete performance reviews.
Perform proof of concepts on new security systems.
Manage existing security systems including firewalls, application firewalls, load balancers, intrusion prevention systems, SIEM tools, network spanning tools, network access control tools, data loss prevention tools and asset discovery tools across the enterprise network.
This position will require after hours work for maintenance.
This position will require travel to remote datacenter locations to perform hardware maintenance.
Strong knowledge of the NIST 800-53 security framework.
Strong knowledge of multiple security appliances.
Strong networking and communication skills; supervisory and people skills.
Successful background check results are required for employment (may include name and fingerprint screenings).
Qualifications
Authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.
Knowledge of multiple platforms and ability to collaborate with staff.
