We are looking for
Oracle Xstore POS Consultant with Java
to join our retail technology team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in customizing and enhancing the Oracle Xstore Point-of-Sale (POS) system using Java, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and integration with other enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement custom solutions within the Oracle Xstore POS platform using Java. Customize Xstore functionalities such as promotions, pricing, returns, customer handling, and payment integrations. Participate in end-to-end development, from requirements gathering to implementation, testing, and deployment. Integrate Xstore with other Oracle Retail modules and third-party systems via web services and APIs. Support version upgrades, patch management, and bug fixes for Oracle Xstore. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production and test environments. Collaborate with business analysts, QA, infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors to deliver robust retail solutions. Maintain comprehensive documentation of code changes and system configurations.
Required Skills:
8+ years of Java development experience, preferably within a retail or POS environment. 4+ years of
hands-on experience with Oracle Xstore POS (v16 or later preferred). Strong understanding of Xstore architecture, customization framework, and configuration tools. Experience with XML, Oracle SQL, and application integration techniques. Knowledge of retail workflows including sales, returns, discounts, inventory, and customer management. Proficient in Git, Jenkins, and other development tools. Ability to work in Agile development environments. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle Retail Suite (ORPOS, RMS, ORCE, EFT, etc.). Familiarity with omnichannel retail strategies and payment system integrations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience with internationalization/localization of POS systems.
