Network Software Development Engineer, High Speed Network Responsibilities
Design and development of high-speed network technologies in ByteDance Build software and tools to improve the reliability and availability of high-speed network infrastructure Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent with two or more years of work experience Good developing experience with one or more following languages: Golang, Python, or C++, familiar with design and development for distributed systems Solid understanding of Linux network stack; experience in Linux TC, iptables and eBPF Familiarity with Linux operating system; hands-on experience in Linux environment Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols and other common networking protocols Good understanding of network devices and network technologies Passion for high-speed IP networking, hardware-software interaction, and hardware offloading technologies Preferred Qualifications: Familiar with RDMA/RoCE network protocol is a plus Experience in developing software systems for large-scale data center networks or distributed systems is a plus About Us

Compensation: The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $129,960 - $246,240 annually. Compensation may vary outside this range based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is part of the Total Package and may include bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance from day one, a 401(k) with company match, paid parental leave, short/long-term disability, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, 10 paid holidays, 10 paid sick days, and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated). The company reserves the right to modify benefits programs at any time.
