RegScale is a continuous controls monitoring (CCM) platform designed to deliver fast and efficient GRC outcomes by bridging security, risk, and compliance through controls lifecycle management. Position: We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain our core web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in C# and .NET development, with experience in modern frontend frameworks such as Angular. This role requires end-to-end ownership of features—from database to API to UI—ensuring scalable, high-quality, and user-friendly solutions. As an AI-first organization, every engineer is expected to leverage AI-assisted coding tools as part of daily workflow to improve productivity, quality, and speed. Note on eligibility : Position must be a US Citizen and is subject to a background check and unannounced drug testing requirements. This is a remote position, but the candidate will be expected to travel to our R&D office in Knoxville, TN approximately once per quarter. Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core. Build and evolve data access layers with Entity Framework (code-first). Develop and enhance user interfaces with Angular (or similar modern frontend frameworks). Ensure scalability, performance, security, and accessibility across the full stack. Write, maintain, and improve unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for both backend and frontend. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and deliver customer-centric solutions. Own features across the stack—from database schema to API endpoints to UI/UX integration. Leverage AI-assisted development tools in coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design sessions. Stay current with emerging technologies (e.g., Microsoft MCP SDK, AI tooling) and recommend adoption where appropriate. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications across backend and frontend layers. Required Skills
Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and API development (RESTful and/or gRPC). Hands-on experience with Entity Framework (EF Core) and SQL database design. Proven experience building production-grade web applications with Angular (or similar modern frontend framework such as React or Vue). Demonstrated experience using AI-supported coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent). Solid understanding of frontend development principles (state management, responsive design, accessibility). Experience with automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, end-to-end) across the stack. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex tasks. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Preferred Skills
Advanced knowledge of Entity Framework performance optimization and migrations. Deep experience with Angular and TypeScript, including component architecture and best practices. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and cloud-native services. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and DevOps practices. Knowledge of authentication/authorization standards (OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect). Exposure to microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures. Education/Training, Qualifications, and Certification
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar technical/engineering degree and 6+ years of progressive experience in a similar role OR no degree with a minimum of 10 years of direct software development experience in .NET C# and Angular Strong written and verbal communication skills Preference for candidates with any training, certifications, or direct skills with Angular, .NET Core, or Microsoft Azure Preference for candidates with a proven history of success in a remote position for more than 2 years Must be a US Citizen and capable of passing a background check and random periodic drug testing
