Overview
Russian Operational Language Analyst (OLA) with Security Clearance CTC Group is seeking Russian Operational Language Analysts (OLA), levels 1-4, to translate, analyze, and interpret language materials, including communications and documents, in support of intelligence operations. Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret language materials to identify relevant intelligence information. Recover essential elements of information. Render translations and/or transcripts based on straightforward, factual written and/or spoken material. Translate and/or transcribe complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material. Gist complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material. Perform quality control review of translations and transcripts of complex and sophisticated written and spoken material. Provide cultural and contextual insights to enhance the understanding of translated materials. Support operations with language expertise, ensuring accurate and meaningful translations. Prepare detailed reports and briefings based on translated materials and linguistic analysis. Contribute to the development of intelligence assessments and operational planning. Work closely with intelligence analysts, field operatives, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely information dissemination. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support mission objectives. Provide language and cultural training to team members as needed. Requirements
Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance. Qualifications by level
Level 1 Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from other countries. Two (2) years full-time experience performing cryptologic language processing in the required language. One (1) of the two (2) years' experience translating and/or transcribing, and gisting shall be the primary duties. ILR Skill Level 2 in Audio Translation Performance and/or Translation Performance from the required language into standard American English. Scores from MPO Civilian Language Test of Record may be used as validation for text translation and audio translation skill levels.
Level 2 Qualifications
Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree, or equivalent; or an additional two (2) years of directly related, applied work experience in lieu of the degree. Four (4) years full-time experience in Cryptologic Operations language processing in the required language(s). Two (2) of the four (4) years' experience translating, transcribing, and gisting; no more than one (1) year of the four (4) years’ experience shall be reporting as primary duty. ILR Skill Level 3 in Audio Translation Performance and/or Translation Performance into idiomatic, standard American English. Scores from MPO Civilian Language Test of Record may be used as validation for translation skills.
Level 3 Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts (BA)/Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or equivalent; or additional four (4) years of related work experience for a total of fourteen (14) years. Ten (10) years full-time combined cryptologic language processing, related language, and/or related cryptologic experience. Six (6) years in Cryptologic Operations language processing; six (6) years in the required language(s); four (4) of the six (6) years in translating and/or transcribing, and gisting. ILR Skill Level 3 in Audio Translation Performance and/or Translation Performance into idiomatic, standard American English. ILR-based quality control experience; MPO test scores may be used for validation.
Level 4 Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts (BA)/Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or equivalent; or additional four (4) years of related experience for a total of nineteen (19) years. Fifteen (15) years full-time combined cryptologic language processing, related language, and/or related cryptologic experience. Eight (8) years in Cryptologic Operations language processing; eight (8) years in the required language(s); six (6) years in cryptologic language processing; five (5) years in translating and/or transcribing, and gisting. Three (3) years in performing quality control review of ILR level 3 translations. ILR Skill Level 3 in both Audio Translation Performance and Translation Performance into idiomatic, standard American English. ILR-based validation as applicable; MPO test scores may be used for validation.
Pay Information
The final salary may be influenced by factors such as location, labor categories, experience, education, and/or certifications. The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $175,000. About the employer
