Base pay range
$145,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the insurance industry, is seeking an experienced Lead Platform Engineer. The right candidate will have Azure expertise and help lead cloud based implementations! Responsibilities: Designs and leads the implementation of Cloud-based architectures, cloud networking, and containerization with experience in patterns/automation using Infrastructure-as-Code. Designs and leads the implementation of CI/CD and other automation solutions and identifies design patterns with emphasis on reuse, scalability, performance, availability, and security. Creates and improves process flows, release pipeline documentation, mockups, and other collateral to convey technical details and association with requested outcomes. Qualifications: Experience working on or building a true platform engineering team, ideally with a focus on developer enablement and internal developer portals. Strong Azure expertise is required, as Azure is new to the organization and they are actively migrating workloads. Experience with DevOps pipelines, especially integrating with cloud-native applications. Experience with infrastructure as code; current environment uses Bicep but there is strong interest in moving to Terraform. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Harness, and GitHub Actions; the team is evaluating these tools for CI/CD and IDP solutions. Containerization/Kubernetes (AKS) experience is a strong plus, as the company is just starting to adopt containers. Seniority level
