None/Not Required Collins Aerospace is currently seeking highly motivated student engineers for our Supplier Designed Equipment (SDE) Project Engineering department, located in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. The SDE team leads engineering projects for engine control systems products designed and manufactured by our supplier base. We engage with internal and external customers during every stage of the aerospace product life cycle. We are a collaborative team that interfaces with multiple engineering disciplines and business-related functions, placing value on our customers, products, and team members. In this role you can expect to gain experience supporting a variety of mechanical products that include pneumatic valves, hydraulic valves/actuators, and heat exchangers on large commercial and business aviation engines programs. What You Will Do: Work with experienced engineers to perform system and component requirements reviews and compliance assessments for complex engine control system components. Support experienced project engineers with engine control system component investigations using relentless root cause and corrective action process. Support or manage project tasks related to engineering change execution and production incorporation. Execute development tasks aligned with Collins engineering standard work. Interface with component suppliers and other members of the integrated product development team (chief engineers, systems engineers, program management, etc.). What You Will Learn: Critical features and operation of turbine engine control systems Detailed knowledge on the design/development/sustainment phases of highly engineered aerospace products Root cause and corrective action process and techniques How to manage/execute project tasks in a fast-paced environment Qualifications You Must Have: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
