Overview

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineer/ Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, FL. This role involves performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. You will translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications and ensure solutions consider technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Responsibilities

Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Translate customer or product requirements into total systems solutions through functional, timeline, and trade studies; conduct requirements allocation and interface definition studies. Ensure logical and systematic conversion of requirements into hardware and software specifications. Basic Qualifications

Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science in a STEM field and 2 years of related experience, or a Master of Science in STEM with 0 years of related experience. Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science in STEM with 5 years of related experience, or a Master of Science with 3 years of related experience, or a PhD with 1 year of experience. Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated DoD Secret clearance or in Continuous Evaluation, and any program access required for the position within a reasonable period of time. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Agile workflows Knowledge of configuration management of model-based architecture baselines Strong communication and technical writing skills Ability to brief technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders Foundation in Model Based Systems Engineering and Architecture Development Ability to present technical approaches at technical and program reviews and boards Ability to apply extensive technical expertise to develop solutions for complex problems Salary Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00 The above salary ranges are general guidelines; base offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and current market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives may apply depending on the position.
