VTG is seeking an AWS System Administrator / Cloud Engineer to serve as an integrator between business needs and technical solutions. Must be able to work creatively and efficiently to solve difficult technical problems. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, innovative cloud engineer to join a team environment. The candidate will be part of a team that supports the cloud infrastructure for an enterprise environment. This position requires a broad knowledge of system administration, knowledge of automation technologies, and scripting. This position also requires knowledge of security and accreditation practices and procedures and the ability to work with several enterprise resources and teams in the operation of an enterprise digitization infrastructure. Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. Hands-on experience with AWS and Linux in a production environment. Experience patching and maintaining system's databases, including RDS, MySQL, and Oracle. Proven experience troubleshooting and solving technical problems. Knowledge of Federated Identity, RBAC, authentication & authorization solutions, etc. Understanding of secure-cloud configuration (e.g., CloudTrail, AWS Config), cloud-security technologies (e.g., VPC, Security Groups) and Access Control (IAM). Experience with configuration management (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, CloudFormation), etc. Experience with security measures such as NGFW, WAF, SIEM, and endpoint security. Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment. Demonstrated on-the-job experience working and solving technical problems independently as a system administrator. Experience using a scripting language. Demonstrated ability to monitor and troubleshoot enterprise workflow applications, including installing, starting, stopping background processes, analyzing log and event files, and patching and troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to create and manage a virtual infrastructure, such as AWS, Azure, Hyper-V, or VMware.
