Senior Data Scientist role at Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Saint Louis, MO. This position is onsite. Position Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define data requirements, data collection methods, and data quality standards. Build systems that enable conducting data analysis and exploration to identify patterns, trends, and insights that drive decision-making. Provide technical leadership to a team of data scientists. Implement and deploy machine learning models, working closely with software engineering teams to integrate into customer environments. Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand engineering domain knowledge and incorporate it into data analysis and modeling efforts. Continuously evaluate and improve existing models and algorithms to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations and policies throughout the data analysis lifecycle. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and aerospace technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and concise reports, presentations, and visualizations. Mentor and provide guidance to junior data scientists. Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data science within the organization. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required)

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or related field 9 years of professional experience in data science, artificial intelligence, or machine learning Programming experience in one or more: Python, Julia, R, C, C++, C#, Java Experience leading technical teams or projects Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Data Science, Applied Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar 3+ years of experience in natural language processing 3+ years of experience in SQL or NoSQL databases Proficient with data visualization tools Proficient in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) Experience with generative AI models, including LLMs Experience integrating models into customer environments (on-prem and cloud) Experience working in an agile software development team Experience with MLOps and tools (e.g., ClearML or MLflow) Experience with cloud computing environments (Azure and AWS) Typical Education & Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education in engineering, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics or related fields, and typically 9+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination. ABET is preferred in the USA but not required. Other Requirements

Travel up to 10% domestically may be required Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A clearance active in the past 24 months is considered active Export Control Requirements: U.S. Person required Compensation

Summary pay range: $133,450 - $180,550 Additional Details
