Open Until Filled Position Information: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to lead the development, enhancement, and support of our student health, counseling, well-being, and safety technology solutions. You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and strategy to execution, launch, and ongoing support. This role requires a strong understanding of both technology and the unique needs of a student health and counseling clinical environment. This position is classified as on-site. The full salary range for the Product Manager is $73,600 - $133,200 annually. However, the pay scale for this position is up to $103,400 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. Requirements: Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Experience Requirements 4 - 7 years of related experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical application analysis or support. Proven experience in product management, including leading product strategy and execution. Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT, preferably in a healthcare setting. Special Conditions Must pass a background check. Exercise the utmost discretion in managing sensitive information learned in the course of performing their duties. Sensitive information includes but is not limited to employee and student records, health and patient records, financial data, strategic plans, proprietary information, and any other sensitive or non-public information learned during the course and scope of employment. Travel Outside of Normal Business Hours. Occasional travel for university related business meetings, conferences and/or professional development. Minimum Requirements Thorough knowledge of business and process analysis functions. Thorough knowledge of related areas of IT. Strong skills and knowledge of methodologies associated with analysis of processes and problems, information flow and architecture. In-depth understanding and skill in process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description. Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds. Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrates problem solving skills. Broad knowledge relating to software design. Thorough knowledge of business processes and procedures. Demonstrated testing and test planning skills. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of clinical workflows, processes, and the product development lifecycle (including agile methodologies). Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and other clinical applications. It encompasses the entire product lifecycle, from strategy and planning to execution, launch, and ongoing support. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, product management in an agile environment, and understanding of a clinical environment's needs. Key Responsibilities: Applies technical expertise and business analysis concepts to identify, evaluate and define complex systems scope and objectives with an understanding of applicable business practices, processes, systems and industry standards to meet end-user needs. Define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for student health, counseling, well-being, and safety technology solutions. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform product strategy. Analyze clinical applications to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with UCOP and other UC campuses using similar technologies, such as PnC and EPIC. Collaborate with vendors, engineering, design, QA, and IT teams to deliver timely, high-quality product releases, optimize clinical application efficiency, and ensure seamless system integration. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for approval of business process and procedural documentation. Recommends and implements changes in processes and procedures. Negotiates with stakeholders on the creation of specifications. Collaborate with stakeholders, including clinicians, counselors, students, and IT staff, to gather requirements and prioritize features. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes business and user needs, documenting requirements and revising existing system and process logic issues as necessary. Provides support and training on new applications. Guides and advises less-experienced Business Systems Analysts.
