Geotab is seeking a Software Developer, Generative AI who will help develop and integrate state-of-the-art generative AI capabilities, with a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs), into Geotab product offerings. If you love technology and want to work with an industry leader, we want to hear from you. What you'll do
Your key responsibilities include designing and deploying AI-driven applications, enriching products and services with intelligent generative features, and managing the full lifecycle of generative AI solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to weave LLMs into products and services while providing technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle. To be successful, you will be a technical leader with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, capable of managing the full product lifecycle with a strategic, product-focused mindset. Responsibilities include designing and deploying applications that harness the power of Large Language Models to provide innovative solutions. How you'll make an impact
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LLMs into enterprise products and services. Optimize and customize LLM applications for specific case requirements, prioritizing efficiency and scalability. Stay current on AI/ML advancements related to LLMs, Agents, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and Generative AI. Lead the full product lifecycle from ideation to deployment and ongoing maintenance. Develop methodology for LangChain utilization and engage with vector databases to enhance Generative AI applications. Apply LLM expertise in a product-focused manner and contribute through professional or personal projects. Navigate research environment uncertainties and resolve complex technical challenges with innovative solutions. Communicate complex AI concepts and data insights clearly to non-experts. Collaborate with data scientists to gather requirements and integrate generative AI into data science workflows. Create and maintain architecture, requirements, and process flow documentation. What you'll bring to this role
Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, or a related field. 1-5 years of software development experience with AI/ML/LLM applications. Proficiency in Python with 3+ years of hands-on experience and best practices knowledge. Experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen to build scalable Generative AI applications is strongly preferred. Familiarity with vector databases and practical implementation/optimization techniques. Experience building Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) applications is a plus. Solid understanding of LLMs, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, LLMOps, function-calling, and RAG. Commercial software engineering experience with a strong coding foundation and interest in Generative AI. Experience with server-side frameworks like FastAPI and API design, documentation, and versioning. Ability to apply Generative AI knowledge in a product-centric manner and work through ambiguous research problems. Experience with API design and implementation and familiarity with Big Data environments (e.g., Google BigQuery). Note: If you reached this far, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every requirement. Please note: Geotab does not accept agency resumes and is not responsible for fees related to unsolicited resumes. Do not forward resumes to Geotab employees. Why Geotab?
