Overview
Release Train Engineer / Senior Technical Program Manager - AI role at Modernizing Medicine (ModMed). We are a specialty-specific cloud platform focused on improving patient outcomes by placing doctors and patients at the center of care. We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to manage, drive, and strategically improve AI/ML & Data delivery across portfolios, promoting agile processes in a fast-growing environment. Responsibilities
Drive AI and Data initiatives end-to-end by coordinating technical program delivery across engineering, product, and data science teams. Foster growth and efficiency through continuous improvement and lean program/ART practices for one or more programs. Provide leadership and direction with cross-functional teams of AI developers, healthcare practitioners, and business stakeholders to manage dependencies and remove impediments. Oversee scope, timeline, resources/budget for programs, ensuring transparency and accountability. Engage in technical discussions and decision-making to influence product development and engineering excellence. Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to understand business objectives and manage product and technical requirements, including change management. Serve as liaison between product management, development teams, and management to align AI roadmap initiatives with organizational priorities. Identify and implement technical solutions that enhance release quality and delivery efficiency for AI initiatives. Facilitate data-driven decision-making through reports and dashboards (JIRA, Excel) for management to analyze progress. Coordinate release content, timelines, readiness reviews, and Go/No-Go decisions for AI releases. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field. Proven experience managing cross-functional AI or data platform initiatives with data engineers, ML engineers, and product stakeholders. Familiarity with AI/ML lifecycle tools and platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure ML, SageMaker). Strong understanding of modern data platforms including Databricks and Lakehouse architectures. 5+ years of program management experience in software development, with AI/ML or data-focused projects. Technical background in data infrastructure, model training/deployment pipelines, and AI delivery; ability to influence engineering teams in AI/ML, data infrastructure, cloud technologies, CI/CD, and containerization. Experience in healthcare domain (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR) is a plus. Experience in large, cross-functional agile programs (>10 teams) and SAFe or similar methodologies is highly preferred. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with initiative and urgency. Benefits
