Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all. Job Description

At Salesforce Commerce Cloud, we are building the future of e-commerce, tightly integrated into the World's #1 CRM. We enable customers worldwide to create engaging, high-performing, and personalized Storefront Experiences. We are looking for a Front End Commerce Architect to join us and build high-quality, easy-to-use storefronts leveraging the full Salesforce Platform, especially Data Cloud and Agentforce. You will craft the approach Storefront Developers and Merchandisers will use to build and manage impactful, high converting, and personalized shopper experiences, modernizing our solution and empowering merchants to work innovatively and efficiently by leveraging Salesforce Customer 360 with a focus on front-end technologies. Our Vision

We will deliver an AI-driven modern storefront experience that reimagines how merchants create experiences for shoppers. Merchants will use Salesforce Commerce Cloud to manage product catalogs, inventory, promotions, and campaigns, integrated into Customer 360 as the single source of truth. Data can be shared across Salesforce Commerce products to scale and grow businesses. Responsibilities

Oversee and drive the front-end architecture for Commerce Cloud and influence the product roadmap. Define architectural principles, frameworks, and standards with a front-end focus, specifically for the React 19, React Router, Vite, and Tailwind ecosystem. Deliver large complex projects meeting functional and non-functional requirements, with emphasis on performance, including server-rendered fragments and avoiding oversized client-side JavaScript dependencies. Build enterprise-scale, maintainable solutions. Collaborate with the runtime team to optimize integration with the runtime platform. Be hands-on and create prototypes to validate the vision and help teams get started. Work with other Architects to shape the architectural vision and roadmap for Commerce Cloud. Collaborate with cross-cloud Architects on data models and API contracts with a front-end perspective. Contribute in a consultative fashion to improve communication, collaboration, and alignment across teams. Provide input into long-range product requirements, standard methodologies, and operational guidelines, focusing on continuous platform reliability and serviceability. Raise engineering standards and ensure teams follow engineering best practices. Mentor and coach team members to support architectural understanding and technical growth. Foster an inclusive and open environment for transparent discussion of issues. Work productively in a remote team spanning North America, India, and EU time zones. Independently run multiple projects end-to-end with planning, execution, analysis, and communication ownership. Perform quality code reviews and proactively remove technical debt and security vulnerabilities. Contribute to the AI-native extensibility framework for CMS, Search, Personalization, and other APIs. Qualifications

15+ years of software development experience. Deep expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React 19, responsive design, and CSS frameworks like Tailwind and ShadCN. Excellent knowledge of software design patterns and architecture styles. Experience with database design and data modeling. Deep expertise with API consumption and performance testing with a strong understanding of UI/UX. Strong experience building and maintaining front-end-focused applications or services. Strong focus on engineering best practices. Experience with the Salesforce Commerce Cloud ecosystem, or other headless commerce platforms, is a huge plus.
