is seeking a K-12 Math Curriculum Specialist that will cover the Pacific territory, including California and Hawaii. The Curriculum Specialist (CS) will work in close partnership with Curriculum Specialist Managers and Account Managers throughout the territory, partnering with market sales and product management to support the sales process and advance Savvas products in the Pacific market. The CS will develop and maintain relationships with school, state, regional, and district decision makers and share expertise in offerings, pedagogy, and the competitive environment. Following the sales cycle, the CS also provides post-sales support and activation. This position requires on-site customer meetings in California.

Primary Responsibilities

Achieve Revenue Targets: Contribute to meeting and exceeding the team sales quota in the Pacific market.

Deliver Presentations: Create and present compelling presentations covering the six customer touch points: Exhibits and Conferences; Pre-work and Professional Learning Workshops; Meetings and Campaigns; Sales Presentations; Curriculum Pilot Trainings; Curriculum Program Activations.

Build and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with key PK-12 decision-makers within the market segment.

Provide Feedback: Gather and relay customer feedback to sales, product, and marketing teams to enhance offerings and strategies.

Maintain Expertise: Stay current with Savvas products and services through certification and training processes to support the sales cycle.

Conduct Training: Provide Product Activation training for both new and existing customer accounts.

Facilitate Workshops: Offer professional learning workshops to districts and at conferences to support customer needs.

Understand Solutions: Demonstrate deep knowledge of Savvas Math solutions, both print and digital.

Collaborate Internally: Work with sales, services, and product management to ensure alignment and address customer satisfaction issues.

Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Maintain positive relationships throughout the sales cycle and post-activation, with timely communication and directing customers to Savvas teams as needed.

Deliver Excellent Service: Provide high levels of customer service to foster satisfaction and loyalty.

Ideal Candidates Will Have

Deep K-12 Knowledge: Experience in K-12 Math education with understanding of curriculum standards, assessment, and intervention practices.

Sales Focus: A drive to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Presentation Skills: Expertise in delivering engaging and informative sales presentations and product orientations.

Collaborative Mindset: Flexible, team-oriented, and willing to adapt strategies and roles based on feedback.

Self-Starter: Proactive, able to work independently, manage projects, and drive results from inception to completion.

Passion for Education: Genuine enthusiasm for K-12 education and influencing decision-making in diverse settings.

Organization: Strong time management and ability to organize materials for efficient workflow.

Communication Skills: Ability to engage with stakeholders from teachers to district administrators and adapt communications to the Southwest territory.

Strategic Insight: Understanding of sales campaign strategy and market trends to meet customer needs.

Bilingual Skills: English and Spanish are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

5+ years of K-12 education experience including classroom teaching.

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Expert knowledge of education theory and market trends in K-12 Math.

Knowledge of the competitive landscape preferred.

Demonstrated ability to deliver winning presentations in large and small groups.

Experience engaging with district administrators and decision makers.

Previous experience selling and servicing in the education market is desirable.

Strong public speaking and presentation skills for diverse audiences.

Strong technology skills with proficiency in presentation software and hardware for virtual and in-person delivery.

Additional Skills/Experience

This person must reside in California.

Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.

Monitoring and managing timekeeping and expenses per Savvas Travel and Expense policies.

Travel: 40-60% within the territory, including overnight stays and occasional travel to other territories; longer hours including evenings and weekends may be required.
