Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented
Data Scientist
to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will analyze large amounts of raw data to discover patterns and insights that will help to improve our company. We will rely on you to collect and analyze data, build models, and present your findings in an easy-to-understand manner. The ideal candidate has an analytical mind and a passion for data.
Responsibilities
Analyze large amounts of raw data to discover trends and patterns
Discover valuable business insights and propose new approaches to challenges
Oversee the development of automated data pipeline processes to ensure timely and accurate data availability
Identify valuable data sources
Build machine learning algorithms and predictive models
Present information in an easily digestible format
Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and data visualization requirements
Support cross-functional teams with ad hoc data analysis and reporting needs
Lead the design and development of interactive dashboards to support operational visibility across offices
Ingest, clean, and integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, including legacy systems
Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights
Ensure data governance, quality, and security compliance in alignment with government agency standards
Qualifications
Clearance Level: Public Trust or higher
Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
Minimum five years of experience in data science, analytics, or business intelligence
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Strong understanding of data modeling, processes, and API integrations
Ability to translate mission needs into technical data solutions
Ability to work well as part of a team
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
