The following job posting is for an Oracle PL/SQL Developer in Albany, NY on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days onsite per week). Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Developer Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid 2-3 days onsite per week) We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join the team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle databases and advanced PL/SQL development, with a focus on backend database programming, optimization, and complex data manipulation. Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers. Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting. Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and application developers to gather requirements and implement database solutions. Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of database code and queries. Assist with data migration, transformation, and integration tasks. Ensure code quality through unit testing and adherence to coding standards. Participate in code reviews and documentation of solutions. Support existing applications by diagnosing and fixing bugs or performance issues. Work in an Agile or waterfall SDLC environment, depending on project requirements. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development. Strong understanding of relational database concepts and Oracle architecture. Proven experience in writing stored procedures, packages, triggers, and views. Proficient in performance tuning, query optimization, and debugging. Familiarity with data modeling and schema design. Experience working in hybrid/on-site environments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle versions 12c or above. Experience with tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer, or similar. Exposure to ETL processes or data warehousing environments. Understanding of version control tools (e.g., Git). Experience in government or large enterprise environments (preferred for public sector projects). Details
