About the Role As a Software Engineer on our Intelligence & Integrations team, you will be a key player in building the core systems that enable our platform to ingest, process, and make sense of real-time data from our hardware devices. You will contribute to delivering on our promise to improve healthcare outcomes and quality of life, impacting our ability to scale from data pipelines to resilient integrations with customer EHR systems. You will turn raw data into actionable insights for our users.
What You\'ll Own
Architecture & Scalability:
Partner with engineering leadership to evolve core data models and APIs, transitioning from a point-to-point architecture to a more resilient, event-driven system.
Technical Excellence:
Drive reliable and scalable solutions. Help define best practices for integration and end-to-end testing to improve development velocity and system stability.
Customer Integrations:
Lead the development and maintenance of integrations with third-party systems like EHRs. Build clean, well-documented APIs and ensure reliable communication with external platforms.
Mentorship:
Mentor engineers on distributed systems, AWS best practices, and secure development.
Qualifications
Experience:
5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development, with a strong background in building scalable, cloud-native applications.
Technical Skills:
Cloud:
AWS infrastructure, including serverless (Lambda, Fargate), message queues (SQS/SNS), and data services (Kinesis, DynamoDB, RDS).
Programming:
Proficient in TypeScript and Node.js. React is a plus.
Databases:
Relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB).
Data Models:
Understanding of data modeling principles for scalable APIs.
Problem Solver:
Ability to break down complex problems into clear, actionable steps in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborator:
Strong communicator, able to work with product, data science, and other engineering teams.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Adaptability:
Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
Start-up experience:
A plus.
Details
The annual salary for this role is $150,000-$180,000 + equity + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision)
