Full-Time Target Salary Range*:

$100,000 - $120,000. This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary Position Overview The Amatriot Group is seeking a highly capable and motivated Python Developer to support a high-impact mission at Quantico, VA. This position is focused on greenfield development—designing and building modern software applications from the ground up. The ideal candidate will thrive in an open-source environment, contributing to the development of scalable, secure, and performant systems that support critical government operations. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy brand-new applications and services from scratch using Python, leveraging frameworks like Flask or Django Architect and implement robust RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs to support scalable integrations Collaborate on product design and system architecture in a greenfield development environment, with the flexibility to choose appropriate open-source tools and patterns Write clean, modular, and maintainable code using object-oriented programming and design patterns Debug, test, and optimize new code across the full development lifecycle Utilize and contribute to a toolchain composed entirely of open-source technologies, adhering to modern software development best practices Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins Employ version control systems like Git to collaborate effectively and manage codebases Analyze and work with complex data structures, ensuring high performance and reliability Participate in team-based Agile development, code reviews, and DevSecOps workflows Qualifications Active Top Secret clearance; must be eligible for TS/SCI with CI Polygraph 3+ years of professional experience with Python development Demonstrated experience with greenfield software projects or early-phase product development Strong understanding of Python syntax, data types, and object-oriented programming Proficiency with web frameworks such as Flask or Django Experience building and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs Familiarity with version control tools like Git or GitLab Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins Background in testing, debugging, and deploying production-grade code in a Linux-based open-source environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working in secure, classified environments Familiarity with containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Exposure to Agile, DevOps, or DevSecOps development models Previous work on projects with high compliance/security requirements We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
