As a Project Engineer at Weis Builders, you will play a pivotal role in the success of every project by acting as the central hub of communication between the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, client, and architect. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build lasting relationships, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the continued growth of Weis Builders. This is an entry-level role intended for new college graduates with a degree in Construction Management or a related field (2025–2026).
Key Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with clients, architects, and vendors to facilitate future planning and contribute to Weis Builders' ongoing growth
Assist with material take-offs, gather subcontractor and supplier quotes, prepare project schedules, monitor the punch list process, and assist with subcontractor award processes and monthly progress billings
Implement cost and time-saving measures, obtain necessary permits, assist with field start-up activities, generate reports as needed, manage the submittal process, and submit weekly OFIs (Opportunities for Improvement) for future projects
Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to obtain final closeout documents, prepare project records for storage, and assist with warranty follow-ups
Develop a solid understanding of building codes and design principles, continually improve technical and managerial skills, and assist in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Qualifications
Ability to quickly build rapport and collaborate effectively in a team setting
Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related construction field
Strong client focus with a commitment to exceeding expectations
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
A strong work ethic, professionalism, and integrity in all interactions
Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and professional documents, emails, and reports
Excellent verbal communication skills
