Software, Integration & Test Engineer – Collaborative Autonomy and Controls Location: Woburn, MA Team

STR’s Analytics C2 Division, specifically the Collaborative Autonomy and Controls (CAC) Group, focuses on collaborative autonomy for multi-agent reconnaissance systems using machine learning, advanced algorithms, and software development best practices for mission planning, autonomous systems reasoning, tracking of illicit activities, and more. The Role As a Software I&T Engineer, you will join a tightly knit team to design, develop, implement, and demonstrate advanced algorithms and software systems. You will support design, development, integration and test activities across the software lifecycle, from prototypes to integrated systems. Your work will create software tools and applications for mission planning systems, automated enterprise control processes, unmanned platforms, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines. This position supports STR’s flexible, hybrid work environment; remote work is possible when not required to use STR facilities. Responsibilities

Design, develop, integrate, and test software systems and algorithms across the software lifecycle. Contribute to mission planning tools, autonomous platforms, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to demonstrate advanced capabilities and validate performance. Qualifications

Ability to obtain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship required by U.S. Government). BS in Computer Science or related technical field with 3+ years of experience. 2+ years of experience with Java or C++. Python experience for service deployment and test framework automation. Understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization. Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab). Containerization/orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with Agile software lifecycle methodologies and tools (Confluence, JIRA, SonarQube). Test-driven development and a layered test strategy (unit, component, system, nightly tests). Ability to quickly learn new languages, libraries, and technologies. Nice to Have MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field. Experience in motion planning, perception, localization, mapping, controls, and related system performance metrics. Domain experience in ISR sensors, tracking, or mission planning. Python fluency. Experience with Kafka, Protobuf, REST. Experience with backend Modeling & Simulation (M&S) test environments (e.g. AFSIM, NGTS). Active security clearance.
