Lead Technical Recruiter - Synechron (US & Canada) We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Data Architect with over a decade of hands-on expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and robust data solutions in the Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in banking and financial services, with deep understanding of industry-specific data practices, compliance, and security requirements. You will lead the architecture, design, and delivery of data platforms and strategic data initiatives to support our organization’s data-driven decision-making processes. Compensation

Base pay range: $140,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with the law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $140K to $150K/year & benefits (see below). Role & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient data architectures on Azure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts tailored for banking and financial services. Lead end-to-end solution design for large-scale data integrations, migrations, and modernization projects leveraging Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage, Databricks, and Power BI. Translate banking and financial domain requirements into technical solutions. Ensure data models and architectures comply with industry standards, data governance, and security policies (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS). Implement and enforce data governance policies, data quality frameworks, and security protocols in line with compliance requirements. Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver impactful data solutions. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members. Research and recommend emerging Azure data technologies and best practices to optimize performance, cost, and scalability. Develop comprehensive documentation, best practices, and standards related to data architecture, integration, and security. Requirements

10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related roles, with a significant focus on banking and financial services. Deep hands-on experience with Azure data services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and Power BI. Strong understanding of banking/financial industry data flows, compliance standards, financial instruments, risk management, and regulatory reporting. Expertise in designing data models, data warehousing concepts, and big data architectures. Experience implementing security controls, data masking, encryption, and auditing in Azure. Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, and related data processing tools. Azure Data Engineer/Architect certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, DP-500, DP-420) are preferred. Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred (but not required)

Experience with financial regulatory frameworks, such as Basel III, MiFID II, or SOX compliance. Proven track record of leading large-scale data transformation projects in banking/financial organizations. What We Offer
