To help lead this effort, they are hiring a Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This role is pivotal in driving their cloud-first strategy by leveraging the full capabilities of Azure services and tools. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across Azure IaaS, PaaS, automation, security, and networking, with a passion for optimizing performance and reliability in cloud-native environments.
Responsibilities
Implement, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including Virtual Machines, VNets, Azure Storage, Azure Active Directory, and other core services. Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for consistent, automated deployments. Configure and maintain Azure networking components such as VNet peering, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, NSGs, Application Gateway, and Load Balancers. Design and implement high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies using native Azure solutions. Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure provisioning using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and CI/CD best practices. Enforce cloud security best practices using Azure Policy, RBAC, Key Vault, Azure Defender, and Conditional Access. Monitor cloud infrastructure health and performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Microsoft Sentinel. Drive cost optimization efforts using Azure Cost Management, budgets, tagging strategies, and Reserved Instances. Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure seamless Azure cloud operations. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across the Azure infrastructure in a production environment.
Required Qualifications
5–7 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. Expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, AKS, App Services, and Azure SQL. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep. Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including VNets, DNS, ExpressRoute, and Azure Load Balancing solutions. Solid experience with Azure Active Directory, identity governance, RBAC, and Conditional Access policies. Automation and scripting skills with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python. Experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, including release management and environment provisioning. Proficient in monitoring and observability using Azure-native tools and integrations (e.g., Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana). Understanding of Azure security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
