Shape the Future as an Software Delivery Manager (Agile) 6 month contract-to-hire Atlanta, GA Hybrid - 2 days a week onsite Key Responsibilities As a Software Delivery Manager (Agile), you will coordinate the daily operations of cross-functional squads aligned to business value streams. In this hybrid role, you will coach teams to continuously improve their Agile practices while overseeing delivery across product development and related projects. This highly visible role includes (but is not limited to) the following responsibilities: Lead and oversee delivery across squads by applying Agile values, principles, and methodologies. Maintain a sharp focus on delivering customer and business value. Collaborate on service delivery efforts including vendor coordination, financial oversight, risk and compliance management, and more. Use JIRA and other tools to help manage and prioritize the backlog, facilitating effective change delivery. Support teams in meeting goals by removing blockers, managing dependencies, escalating risks, and guiding them back on track when needed. Manage stakeholder relationships, communications, and expectations—shielding teams from unnecessary external disruptions. Facilitate and adapt Agile ceremonies to suit squad dynamics and value stream needs. Actively manage delivery risks and foster improvements through data-driven decision-making and release coordination. Work closely with Product Owners and Change Managers to prioritize backlogs and align delivery roadmaps to execution feasibility. Assist in handling urgent or unplanned business needs while maintaining delivery momentum. Resolve inter-team dependencies through collaboration with other Agile Delivery Leads and Technical Leads. Own squad-level administrative responsibilities and ensure operational excellence. Share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous learning within the broader delivery community. Participate in an internal Agile and DevOps community of practice to foster innovation, consistency, and alignment across teams. Must-Have Qualifications In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, XP, Lean) and hands-on experience applying them. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Version Control. At least 3 years of experience as an Agile Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or similar role. Demonstrated ability to manage projects in a program or portfolio context. Experience supporting complex live systems, including incident and major incident management. Strong financial acumen related to budgeting and cost control within a delivery or value stream context. Proficiency with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Miro, or Azure DevOps. Exceptional organizational, time management, and stakeholder management capabilities. Highly collaborative, servant-leader mindset with the ability to guide teams without relying on authority. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and adapt to various stakeholders. Skilled in facilitating both in-person and remote Agile ceremonies. Familiarity with modern software development practices such as architecture, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and SDLC processes. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience working in service delivery or platform service squads within a value stream model. Familiarity with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for measuring team outcomes. Proficiency in using data visualization tools to track progress and demonstrate value delivered.
