Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering has an immediate opening for a dynamic Senior Geotechnical Engineer in our growing Design Engineering Services (DES) Group. The role is located in our Bellevue office with the opportunity for flexible work. The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will work on an interdisciplinary team to evaluate and interpret site conditions, perform engineering analyses, designs, and prepare estimates in support of Kiewit’s design-build pursuits and ongoing projects. You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, coastal, drainage, roadway, rail/transit and systems, and materials disciplines. It is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects. Location

This position will be based in our Bellevue, WA office and includes travel to project offices and work sites. Opportunities for flexible work are available. Responsibilities

Support the bid phase development of innovative and cost-effective design Work with and provide direction to the interdisciplinary engineering team and design subcontractors to develop competitive, cost-effective designs Collaborate with the pursuit team during the bid phase to identify key design risks and develop risk mitigation plans Advance bid phase design concepts to IFC designs for successful pursuits Oversee engineering services during construction and perform field reviews during execution Support efforts to capture and share design lessons learned and innovations across Districts Support the development of early and mid-career geotechnical engineers Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering; graduate degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred Qualified Geologist and/or Geomorphologist would be a plus 15+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience with infrastructure and transportation projects Professional Engineer registration or eligibility in home office state/province Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering concepts and design Experience with design of earth retaining structures, soil and rock mechanics, slope stability, ground improvement, deep and shallow foundations, dewatering, etc. Strong experience in seismic ground response analysis Experience leading teams and directing the work of others Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment Physical ability to access construction sites in diverse conditions Ability to travel to project sites EPC and/or Design-Build experience preferred Other Requirements

$175,000/yr - $225,000/yr Note:
