Overview
Project Engineer - Summer 2026 (Southeast - GA & FL) at Landmark Properties, Inc. The role supports the project team through all stages of the project, including preconstruction planning, buyout, daily project management, and closeout. The objective is to obtain, coordinate, and distribute information and authorizations required to construct the project on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Possible locations include Kennesaw, GA; Atlanta, GA; Athens, GA; Orlando, FL; and Coral Gables, FL (locations are subject to change). Travel: Project Engineers are based on the project site in temporary construction trailers/offices close to the site. Reports to: Project Manager and/or Superintendent. Direct Reports: None. Responsibilities
Understand and work with contract documents, including drawings and specifications, and clearly communicate required information to relevant teams and trades. Request and review subcontractor certificates for compliance. Maintain and update document controls for the project, including contract documents, specifications, geotechnical reports, permits, field sketches, inspections, daily field reports, sign‑in sheets, meeting minutes, submittal logs, RFI logs, change order logs, and safety meeting reports. Assist Project Management & Field Management with processing change requests/proposals, managing project budget cost controls, coordinating billings, and identifying work not covered by subcontractors. Draft agendas, schedule meetings, and distribute meeting minutes. Take progress photos of the job site. Obtain occupancy of the project, including participating in final inspections and approvals by municipalities. Resolve punch list issues prior to occupancy. Closeout activities and obtain Certificate of Substantial Completion. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to maintain quality and schedule. Leverage Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) with the VDC department. Provide weekly project updates. Education & Experience
This is an entry-level position with rapid growth potential. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, Business Administration, or a relevant major preferred. Internship experience is preferred. Strong computer skills and general knowledge of Office 365 required; Procore PM Software and Bluebeam knowledge is a plus. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, plans, and financial reports. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to present information to Trade Partners using telephone, logs, email, mobile devices, cameras, etc. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management with ability to meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Positive and collaborative attitude with leadership skills. Work Environment
