The mission of our Network Reliability Engineering team is to provide exceptional network reliability and automation services that enable our customers to drive operational excellence in OCI networks at scale. By focusing on both reactive and proactive functions, we aim to minimize downtime, quickly resolve incidents, and continuously enhance network performance through automation, advanced monitoring, and a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, deploy, and operate highly reliable, scalable network solutions to support Oracle’s next-generation Cloud Infrastructure.

Ensure the reliability and availability of large-scale distributed systems, managing thousands of networking devices.

Contribute to proactive and reactive initiatives — automating processes, implementing advanced monitoring, swiftly resolving incidents, and continuously improving network performance.

Collaborate in an agile environment, manage multiple projects and priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced setting.

Demonstrate an ownership mindset, delivering results, embracing ambiguity, and driving continuous improvements.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in networking technologies

Proficiency with Python or a similar scripting language

Proficiency with network technologies and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS)

Experience developing network automation or device management solutions

Excellent communication and organizational skills, thriving in collaborative and agile teams

Ownership mindset with the ability to deliver results and drive continuous improvements

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency with IS-IS, RSVP-TE, EVPN, VxLAN, and related protocols

Experience with network modeling and programming – YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF

Experience in a network support role

Experience with ticket systems like Jira and version control systems like Git

Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies
