Overview
Data Scientist - Top Secret Clearance (SCI Eligible) Location: Springfield, VA 22151 Travel: Up to 20% CONUS & OCONUS Responsibilities
AI/ML Model Development & Optimization: Design and develop high-performance machine learning models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, and ONNX; apply supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised learning to solve complex cybersecurity problems; enhance model performance with NVIDIA CUDA and TensorRT. AI/ML Infrastructure Engineering: Architect scalable AI/ML workflows using Kubernetes, Kubeflow, MLFlow; automate deployment and scaling with Python, SQL, shell scripting; manage containerized environments (Docker) for CI/CD. Data Engineering & Analytics: Develop pre- and post-processing pipelines; manage data storage strategies; use ELK stack for visualization and monitoring. Security & Compliance: Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure deployment; support RMF and cybersecurity frameworks in AI/ML operations. Documentation & Technical Communication: Document models and workflows; communicate status and risks to stakeholders. Requirements
5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering with hands-on model development and deployment. Experience fine-tuning and deploying large language models (LLMs) such as Llama or Mixtral in production and air-gapped environments, focusing on optimization, integration, and secure operations. Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, ONNX). Expertise with Kubernetes, Kubeflow, MLFlow. Experience with NVIDIA GPU acceleration libraries (CUDA, TensorRT). Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, C/C++, and shell scripting. Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data processing; data storage management. Familiarity with secure deployment and network security principles. Education & Certifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification or equivalent; advanced AI/ML certifications (AWS ML Specialty, TensorFlow Certification). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Benefits
