Overview We are seeking a System Administrator 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. You will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
Monitor, maintain, and test Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM and other electronic security systems.
Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems for endpoint devices.
Provide Tier 1 helpdesk support.
Provide end-user assistance for accessing and using IT systems.
Answer help desk calls, triage, and escalate when required.
Document issues and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system; monitor system status and notify senior administrators as needed.
Support configuration and management of Windows operating systems and software installation.
Support desktop hardware setup, imaging, and antivirus updates.
Assist with security patching (IAVA) and compliance with IA standards; support STIG implementation on Windows systems.
Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of 3rd party applications.
Perform root cause analysis and contribute to preventive maintenance (backups, log reviews, integrity checks).
Stay current with technological developments and contribute to technical documentation and SOPs.
Qualifications
Clearance/Citizen Type: No clearance required.
Education: BS degree and 0+ years of progressive experience, or HS diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of progressive experience.
Experience performing triage on system problems and resolving issues; implementing new workstations and extensions.
Understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
Basic knowledge of large-scale networking, VLANs, and routing.
Reliability to work at customer site during required hours and ability to work flexible shifts (nights, weekends, holidays).
Minimum IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+).
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and strong time management.
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint).
