General Purpose: The Senior End User Computing Engineer is responsible for leading the design and engineering of enterprise solutions that support end user computing across the firm. End user computing includes the Operating System, Application Delivery, patch management, and application updates. This role includes strategic development and disbursement of end user computing, documentation, enforcement of security policies, and management and maintenance of the centralized deployment applications. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Contribute technical expertise to architecture design of endpoint management solutions Lead complex projects involving enterprise-wide OS migrations and hardware refreshes Participate in cross-functional projects with minimal supervision Coordinate with multiple teams and departments to implement, maintain, and enhance a common end user device experience Function as a resource on projects including new hardware images, Windows, Mac and O365 upgrades and other projects involving updates to software on End User devices Manage and administer endpoint management platforms (Intune, SCCM, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, JAMF, VDI) including engineering software packages and deployments Create, manage, and maintain standard images and standardized deployment processes for end-user devices Automate and improve End User computing processes through scripting and process optimization Serve as the main point of contact for the centralized configuration and patch management Serve as a subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 and modern workplace technologies Serve as technical escalation point for complex endpoint issues, researching problems and implementing solutions Design and implement endpoint security policies aligned with firm-wide cybersecurity initiatives Partner/collaborate with application and security teams to develop a secure technical environment and endpoint security strategy Assist and train Technical Support Analysts and other IT staff on the troubleshooting and resolution of End User computing issues Work with 3rd party vendors and outside consultants on technical implementations and solutions Create and maintain design documentation including knowledge articles Contribute to department strategic planning and technology roadmap by researching industry trends and evaluating new technologies that improve end user productivity Participate in budget planning and vendor evaluation for endpoint technologies Work independently and under the supervision of the Systems Director Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position Competencies: Communication:Understands the importance of and demonstrates verbal, written, and non-verbal communications. Supervisory Duties (if applicable): This position has no direct supervisory duties. This individual will mentor junior IT staff and provide technical guidance across the department. Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification): Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or other relevant degree, or direct related experience Minimum of three (3) years of enterprise-level experience managing endpoints in a corporate environment with 500+ users including Microsoft and iOS operating system application deployment, configuration, and management Minimum five (5) years of IT experience with end user computing hardware and business applications Experience leading technical projects or mentoring team members preferred Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) certification required Additional Technicalcertification(s)(i.e., M365 EAE, AZ-Admin)preferred Extensive knowledge and experience withMicrosoft Endpoint Manager & JAMF Extensive knowledge and experience with VDI Experience with MacOS, iOS and Android Experience with Windows 11 deployment and management Experience with modern management approaches like Windows Autopilot and Apple Business Manager Experience implementing Zero Trust principles and endpoint security solutions Extensive knowledge of Group Policy (GPO) administration Extensive experience with Microsoft Intune Experience managing Microsoft 365 services and applications Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience required Proficiency in PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and automation frameworks Knowledge of conditional access policies and device compliance Experience supporting remote/hybrid work environments Demonstrated excellence in organizational abilities, ability to prioritize and follow up on open issues and projects with a sense of urgency Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business including peers, technical management, and/or external vendors Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (10) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person. The Colorado salary range is $87,392.95 - $145,654.91 annually. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
