Overview
KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. KBR is seeking a Network Engineer SME to join our team, mainly working from home in a hybrid fashion, occasionally going onsite to our customer site in the Lompoc, California area. Key Responsibilities
Provides authoritative technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations. Evaluates, maps and implements network systems. Monitors, documents, and resolves complex technical control facility hardware and software problems. Interfaces with stakeholder support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Performs a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software, budgetary, and support facilities and/or equipment. Provides assistance and oversight for all information systems operations, including computer and network operations, data entry, data control, LAN/WAN administration and operations support, operating systems configurations, system security policy procedures, and/or application service delivery strategy and operations. Comfortable with network terrain mapping from packet capture analysis. Monitors network performance and troubleshoots and identifies highly complex problems to maintain operating efficiency and ensure quality transmission service on the network. Cloud computing familiarity with a focus on security and networking (e.g., AWS transit gateways, Azure Virtual WANs, Google Cloud Network Connectivity). WAF and CloudArmor, passive packet collection and characterization experience preferred. Experience with Software-defined networking implementations (SDN) is a plus. Directs collection and compilation of data on existing enterprise information systems operations and maintenance, with emphasis on networking technologies and data flows. Troubleshoots network performance issues. Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions. Utilizes software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance, often in closed network boundaries. Collaborates with cross functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced staff and may serve as a team lead. May participate in the development of organizational IT policies and procedures. Work Environment

Active DoD Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret is required to be considered for this role Masters Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields (experienced considered in lieu of degree) 15+ years of related experience Demonstrated ability with Network Administration, Network Management, Network Engineering, Network Design, Network Security, Problem Solving/Troubleshooting and Network Reconnaissance Proficient Written and Oral Communication; Organization, Problem Solving, Communication, Technical Documentation, and Teamwork. DoD 8570 IAT Level II - Required Ability to travel periodically to Lompoc, California as needed Preferred Qualifications

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Basic Compensation: El Segundo, CA = $150,000 - $188,000. The offered rate will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and internal parity. Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation per internal policy or contractual designation. This can include sign-on bonuses, relocation benefits, short- and long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
